Maybe I Should Have Been A Florist 

Flowers, the essence of natural beauty. A way to say a thousand words without speaking. Maybe I Should Have Been A Florist is a homage to realising it is okay to see the world differently and a reminder to keep breaking personal and social barriers. The initial concept for this project has blossomed into an explosion of emotion, colour and abstraction. A way of slowing down an aspect of nature with a short yet beautiful life. An emotional and almost sensual exploration of the fragility and beauty of life. Using items of little cost to reduce the impact on the environment meant giving a second lease of life to charity shop items.
