Dead Pretty, Dead Dark

Living in a mainly male-dominated world, for this project I have been creating photographs of my best friend in different settings. Each series is based around young women trying to obtain authority. The images have been narrated into a sequence of six series. Each sequence highlights various aspects of femininity surrounding women. Highlighting the mental yet visual elements through a camera, as it uncovers what may not always be seen. I have chosen to present certain photographs that I feel are the most connected to my work. The fabric was the main material that connected to my work due to my theme of femininity and the connection to mother nature. Each series creates a different feel to my work which is embraced through the production.
