My Contribution

I have created images to generate a commercial portfolio to start a career in studio photography. The fallout of creating these images is a conversation in the ethics of materialistic waste whilst pursuing my ideal career for the future. The title of this work brings sarcasm to my chosen career path. I brought together all materials used, creating a mass to bring attention to the damage done by supporting the consumer market. The need to advertise and consume makes the industry. My project is not complete without an acknowledgement of reality - a need to gratify my conscience. Not all products are damaging. We have progressed so that even cheaper products are cruelty-free, and some packaging is partly recycled. As we advance the industry has the potential to get rid of questions about ethics.
